The Possibilities for C-Sections

This is happening and it is amazing. Hopefully, it will make its way to the States! I totally think it is worth talking to your OB about if you are facing a c-section. (or for a lot of my friends maybe having the discussion in the off chance that a c-section is required in labor and delivery)

Our OB wasn’t up for compromising the surgical field by dropping the cloth. She also wanted to have him dried and listened to to make sure he was breathing well, because he was breech. However, she was very supportive of getting Chet to me as soon as she felt was safe enough. It was just a matter of minutes.

  1. Wow! I have tears in my eyes, thank you so much for sharing. My first labor ended in emergency c-section and was very traumatic. Because of the trauma and the type of incision they had to do to get the baby out, I am not a candidate for a VBAC. My second was delivered scheduled c-section and I just dreaded it and hated it. This gives me hope! I hope I can find a doctor that will be supportive of this approach and make my c-sections a better experience. Thank you!
